Denise Cramsey to Climb Mt. Everest
WHEN I ASK CLIENTS TO THINK ABOUT THEIR PHYSICAL GOALS, usually we talk about body fat percentages, dress sizes, or completing a half marathon. So when my friend, client and double Emmy-award winning producer Denise Cramsey told me she wanted to find an event that would really challenge her, I began researching what I knew: Ironmans, 500-mile bike rides, even an adventure travel/scavenger hunt. I reported my findings, but I knew that none of those suggestions really clicked for her.
A couple weeks later, Denise showed up with some exciting news: “I’m climbing to Mt. Everest base camp.” A surprised delight and a giant grin swept over me when she told me this news.
As a coach, I endeavor to hold a flame for what I know each person can become. I try to see each person as the future version of him or herself, often long before they reach their transformation.”
Of course, Denise met the President, won multiple awards, and been at the helm of a few of televisions best-loved reality shows, creating Trading Spaces with Ty Pennington, and later became executive producer of True Beauty and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition). Soon, she’ll have Everest under her belt.
As Denise boarded her flight to Nepal, she turned the tables on me—teaching me something important about my own vision. I know you join me in wishing her safe travels, and an exhilarating ascent.
