Getting pummeled by wind and waves teaches me about awareness and perseverance.
On a patch of the I-15 freeway on our way to Utah I videotaped Max, my 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, huffing across the sand to a playful Bronson, just as the sun bid its last adieu behind the mountains. Fast forward three years to the same drive to Utah and the same patch of land, (sans canine nor man) and I had a very strong flashback. To that sand covered lot, the beautiful man and that puppy, I made this, a peace offering.
“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke
