The Family that Cruises Together, Stays Together

I caught Ice Blink tonight on PBS and was incredibly inspired by the story of the Martin family. If you are interested in lifestyle design (or re-design), then I recommend this 1-hour documentary. It’s now airing on PBS (check your local showtimes) but you can also buy the film on DVD directly from the family.

I saw the documentary on PBS yesterday, and the Martin family members know how to live an adventure. I can say one thing for this family, they are survivors with plenty of grit, especially the first adventure of 5 years sailing their first boat, a converted day-sailor-25′ boat with no instruments and only one life jacket. I probably wouldve done the same thing at age 19.
They have a great inspiring story to tell.

It was this documentary that got me and Bronson to thinking seriously about moving out of our 3 bedroom house and into a 750-square-foot loft (where we are now). It’s been an amazing lesson that who you are, not what you have, is what matters most.
