I WASN’T AN ALICIA KEYS FAN UNTIL THIS PAST WINTER when I stumbled upon her single, No One. And what a happy accident, because she’s become one of my favorite new singers. Her latest album, As I Am is gritty, soulful, desperate, all the things I’ve come to love about bands lately. She told EW: “This CD was so severely personal, it changed my voice…”
